frizz in Finland

Check out what's currently being made in Finland!
Paivi of Peikon Poika has created these cool USB stick pouches using my fabric and stamps. You don't know how excited I am to see my stuff being used... and in Finland to boot (I am half Finnish).
She's got a really cute zakka shop and stylish blog. You don't need to read Finnish because her wonderful pictures do all the talking!!

Kiitos Paivi!!
Jutella kohdakkoin!!

old skool

When I first began blogging my creative process, I so wanted to be one of those artist that drew the cool, edgy stuff. The kind that was quirky and a little dark that made you want to open up the artist's head to see where the heck it came from. I envied all the bloggers who seemed to be able to do easily what I couldn't. I was stuck with my bunnies and hedgies and elephants baking cupcakes. It took a long time to accept what came out in the sketchbook. But that's me and it's what I do and now that that battle is over I can get on with it and have some fun!

At least I've managed to shake some of the round-cuteness from my style. Talk about cutey-cute-cute, check out those Halloween images I did for Kmart years ago. Here's an old sample of the trick-or-treating bags they made with them below.

how did this happen?

I'm so excited to announce that I now have representation!!
Teresa Kietlinski of Prospect Agency and I have joined forces to conquer the publishing industry. OK, I'm exaggerating a little - but I'm so excited. This is a dream come true! Teresa has worked in all areas of the publishing industry and worked with artists like Amy Young (of Belinda the Ballerina) and Kevin Sherry (of I'm the Biggest Thing in the Ocean) just to name a few. It still hasn't sunk in and if I think about it my stomach does flippy-flops but I think if I can stay out of my own way it'll be so much fun. My bio is even up on the site now, check it out (scroll down to the T's)!
Ahhhhh...can you believe it??

brace yourself for cuteness

Shetler's Dairy, Kalkaska, Michigan
This weekend we bought local milk and ice cream, picked apples in the snow and I got licked by a calf. It was a good weekend!
