mmm...beer

i could not leave the market the other night without this beer:
1. it's made in Michigan (Traverse City, my part time home). i support our lovely state!
2. but most importantly - look how cute the packaging is!! and the wee 12 ounce bottles!!

oh and go check out The Dieline - a site dedicated to packaging design. luckily i stumbled upon it looking for more beer info. i could fart around there for hours (did someone say fart?!).

winner, winner chicken dinner

i had to improvise due to the fact that a painting project (more on that later) interfered with my monday plans so choosing my winner had to take place in the truck while traveling. i wrote all the entries on a napkin, wadded each up and my handsome husband picked one from his hat.

Why do the yoga farters always cozy up to my mat?

cabin fever

my cabin fever is a bit different than most -
i can't wait to get up north and lock myself in!

there was the most beautiful snow on the ground, all dry and sparkley- like diamonds in the sun and blue jewels in the shadows. when we took a walk it scattered like sugar.

the deer are all knocked up and hungry.
they look at me through the window like,
"hey lady, how about a carrot?"

they seem to enjoy a good sunset just like we do!

i'm hoping to offer prints of these in my shop if I can ever find fine art paper for my HP inkjet printer. why is this paper be so hard to find? off to scour the internet...

studio makeover

o.k., so it's really not a "studio" but a spare room that i can call my own and it doesn't really look like i did much until you see what it looked like a week ago...

i still have things to add so it's not so bare and a little more functional but i feel it's a big improvement. lucky me - we have an IKEA very close. i'd like to keep it clean and organized and away from that clutter monster that appears out of nowhere (we will see how that goes).
