frizzelstix is 4!

I worked all February hoping to launch a fabulous new website with some fabulous new surprises in honor of my blog's 4th birthday. I ran into a bunch technical issues so nothing is how I wanted it to be.

So with a wimpy-yet-sad-horn-toot-toot I give you my new website...

webREC

I'm having major color shifting issues between computers (the colors looks great on my Mac laptop!) and I think I made the page too big for standard PC screens. Also, I tried to open a shop but I'm waiting for suppliers so there's nothing in there yet. But hey, I added a bio page - that's a positive!! Back to the drawing board...

**NOTE: I did some tweaking. I figured out the text link thingy and scaled things back a bit. I'm hoping the color issue on my work PC is just that I have a really old and crappy monitor. Thanks for all the comments, they are really helpful!!

  1. It's beautiful! It is a bit wide, but I think perhaps you made it on a wide aspect screen. On my regular screen, there is about an inch I have to scroll over to see.

    But I love it anyway!

  2. Congrats on the BIG redesign. I love the overall look of everything. Very cohesive and soothing. I think your art shines in this new version, big and beautiful. The 'design' section looks great too - nice to see the little coordinating swatches in there. It does bother me that some text is raster, and some is um, un-raster (can't think, new momma brain) and the jpeg compression makes it look pretty different on my screen. Other than that - kudos! It has a more seasoned confident look to it if that makes any sense. ;)

  4. Yay-I think you are heading in the right direction! I'm so glad you are opening up an etsy shop. (I've already "favorited" you-ha!)

Yes, the site is a little big on my pc laptop. I have to scroll down some to find your thumbnail menu...but it looks great! I agree with Gina. There is a confidence present here that shows in every nook and cranny.

    Bravo!
